Sallie Sherman, PhD., is CEO of S4 Consulting and the creator of S4’s highly acclaimed new system, alift.

alift represents the culmination of Sherman’s life’s work.

It’s an efficient, effective, and scalable way to help leaders lean-in to and navigate rapid change and disruption in real-time so they, their teams, and organizations can thrive in “the new normal.” alift is particularly useful in attracting and retaining talent in hybrid workplaces.

Sallie is an expert in helping organizations identify and navigate their “wicked problems” — those critical, messy, complex, ongoing people-problems that must be addressed collaboratively for people and organizations to grow and thrive. Sallie and her team have helped companies address these issues for more than 35+ years, by sharing a set of principles that build more collaborative, productive internal and external relationships. How to navigate and thrive through change is the ultimate wicked problem.


Sallie is also the author of Five Keys to Powerful Business Relationships and The Seven Keys to Managing Strategic Accounts and a Visiting Scholar at The Howe School of the Stevens Institute of Technology. She was selected as one of “12 Women You Should Know” for 2005 by the Women’s Economic and Leadership Development Organization.

Historically, S4 focused on assessing clients’ strategic relationships, developing and guiding the implementation of new relationship management strategies and programs, consulting with executives in strategic and tactical management issues, advising them on relationship recovery issues, improving the quality of their strategic account programs, and designing and delivering executive development programs to improve strategic relationship management capabilities.

Sallie earned her B.A. from Centre College, a master’s degree from Xavier University, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.
